Therapy

As a trained mental health counselor and psychiatric prescriber I use therapy and can assess for appropriateness of adding medication to alleviate one’s suffering. During therapy sessions, we use talk therapy, learn and practice coping skills to manage life’s hardships, and implement mindfulness and diaphragmatic breathing. We discuss strategies each individual can practice and use in their life between sessions. Some people benefit from therapy sessions frequently (weekly or biweekly) whereas others may need to check in monthly or less.
